In partnership with S and R Construction Ltd, WDY Construction carried out groundworks for Elan Homes’ Seascape development in Ilfracombe. The site presented unique challenges due to the steep gradient, creating a need for highly innovative solutions to ensure stability and functionality.
Due to the gradient, each plot in the development required the construction of retaining walls and comprehensive tanking systems to address the demands of the sloped terrain. This involved meticulous planning and execution to integrate split-level housing designs into the landscape.

Advanced engineering techniques were employed to construct durable retaining walls, ensuring the long-term stability of each plot. The tanking systems were designed to provide robust waterproofing solutions which were absolutely crucial for the split-level houses planned for the development.
